Adolf calling
imagine
getting a call
from the Fuhrerbunker
from the phone
Adolf kept
by his bed
the one
with an eagle
on a swastika
the one
Siemens painted
cherry red
the one
Adolf used
as a weapon
of unthinkable
mass
destruction
imagine
imagine
having a chat
with Hitler
what would you say?
what would you tell him?
underneath the hatred & anger in our world is unprocessed fear.

Because of the divine promises made about this territory, there will never be peace; there will never be compromise. There will instead be misery, shame, & tyranny… and people will kill each others’ children for ancient books, & caves, & relics.

Tara Brach is who I always come back to in times like these. This is her latest I listened to: https://www.tarabrach.com/how-do-we-bridge-divides/
Thank you for courageously putting your thoughts to paper here Darren. It's a delicate thing to be able to put something into words that is so huge, so full of fear, destruction, and death. And something that most of us can't even begin to comprehend what it must be like to be on either "side."
For me, I tried to write about it. I ended up just coming back to what I can control and focus on. That is my heart and my home and what I can do in my space to create a world where we are open hearted and care for our fellow human BEings.
